MICHEAL NNADI DEATH A SPECIAL KIND OF DEATH

With effect from Friday 12th February2021, the residence of the Catholic Bishop Sokoto has been named Michael Nnadi house. This was done to honor the late Seminarian of Sokoto Diocese Michael Nnadi who was murdered by kidnappers in January 2020. The Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Most Reverend Matthew Hassan Kukah announced it at the end of the Memorial Mass in honor of the late Michael today at the Holy Family Catholic Cathedral, Sokoto. Must Reverend Kukah led about forty priests and hundreds of the lay faithful to celebrate the Memorial Mass. In the homily at the Mass, Rev. Fr. Matthew Saleh said events around the kidnapping of Michael and three other seminarians and his eventual murder by his captors showed that his death was special to God and humanity. One of the kidnappers arrested after Michael's death said the seminarian was shot because he kept preaching repentance to them while in captivity. Fr. Saleh further said the Bishops of Kaduna Province has approved the erection of a monument at the Good Shepherd Seminary, Kaduna where Michael was buried.
