Rev. Fr. Stephen Amari Abba

Fr. Stephen Amari Abba Ordained to the priesthood on the Solemnity of the Assumption in 2019 by Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah, Fr. Stephen Amari Abba belongs to the Diocese of Sokoto. He completed his formation for the priesthood through the ordinary path of seminary studies and has since undertaken advanced theological work, currently reading for the Master of Theology in Systematic Theology at the Jesuit School of Theology of Hekima University College. His published writing includes the article “The Church as Drama: A Catholic Identity Between Sin, Grace, and Perpetual Renewal” in Hekima Review (May 2026), which explores the identity of the Church as a living drama of grace and renewal. He has also prepared the volumes Send Forth Your Word and Heal Us, a collection of scriptural reflections and a twenty one day programme of prayer, and Resting in God’s Embrace, a book of family prayers shaped for quiet daily use.
