Liturgical Commission

Diocesan choir, lectors, altar servers and altar dressers who serve the worship of God.

Christ is present in the liturgy through the Eucharist, the priest and the assembly that prays and sings. He is also present in the Word, since it is he himself who speaks when the Holy Scriptures are read in the Church (Catechism 1088).

Lectors prepare carefully to proclaim the Word with understanding and clarity. Altar servers — children and young people — assist the priests at Sunday and weekday Masses and special liturgies. The Diocesan Choir, the English and Hausa choirs and the altar dressers enrich every celebration.
