Pope Leo XIV has appointed the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto, Most Rev. Dr. Matthew Hassan Kukah, as a member of the Vatican Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development for a five-year term. The appointment was communicated in a letter signed by Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State.
