WORLD MISSION SUNDAY 2026 CELEBRATION AT ST. DOMINIC’S, BIRNIN KEBBI The celebration of World Mission Sunday 2026 at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, Birnin Kebbi, was a memorable and spiritually enriching occasion for the parish community. The Holy Masses, celebrated at 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., were presided over by Rev. Fr. Pater James. During the celebration, the Pope’s message for World Mission Sunday was delivered to the parishioners, reminding them of their responsibility to support the Church’s missionary activities and spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. As part of the celebration, a fundraising exercise was conducted to support World Mission Sunday and contribute to the Church’s mission of evangelisation across the world. Another highlight of the celebration was the presentation of awards to the South-East and North-Central groups, winners of the 2026 Cultural Harvest competition. The awards recognised their outstanding performances and remarkable contributions during last Sunday’s event. The celebration brought the parish community together in faith, generosity, cultural appreciation, and commitment to the universal mission of the Church. Reported by: Bro.
