Hungarian Delegation Visits Catholic Diocese of Sokoto for Project Inspection.

A team of researchers from Hungary Helps, a humanitarian initiative by the government of Hungary, visited the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto to inspect some of the ongoing projects supported by the organization.

On behalf of the Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Most Rev. Matthew Hassan Kukah, the delegation was warmly received by the diocesan Chancellor Very. Revd. Fr. Nuhu Iliya alongside Fr. Jude Okpanaci and project coordinators. The team toured various sites where impactful developmental efforts are being carried out in partnership with the diocese.

The Hungarian team; comprising David, Daniel, Callum, and Nicholas visited St. Patrick’s Schools in Illela, where they were welcomed by the Director, Fr. Solomon Chieve. who guided them through the academic and infrastructural progress made in the school.

They also stopped at the Holy Family Diagnostic Centre in Sokoto, where they were received by Sr. Ann. op, the Director of the facility. The visitors were briefed on the centre’s vital role in providing quality and affordable medical diagnostics to underserved populations.

This visit further strengthens the collaborative efforts between Hungary Helps and the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto in fostering development, education, and healthcare within the region. It reflects a shared commitment to human dignity and the empowerment of communities through sustainable initiatives.
