The Pontifical Mission Society (PMS) has built a playground for Holy Family Schools, Sokoto in the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto.
The facility was today officially handed over to the proprietor of the Schools, Most Rev Dr. Matthew Kukah, Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese by the PMS Director, Rev. Sr. Sylvalin.
Bishop Kukah in his remarks appreciated PMS for their contribution to the school and education in the State while calling on the government in Northern Nigeria to be more committed to Education.
Present at the event was the delegation of the Rotary Club District 9142 which comprises of 5 South-East States and 2 South-South States of the Federation.
The Governor of Rotary Club District 9142, Dr. Emmanl Ude Akpe lauds PMS on the initiative and pledged club's support to education in the Nation.
In line with the theme of the year: "Rotary making a difference" and as part of the education project, The Rotary Club District 9142 promised to donate to the school a playhouse.
Earlier, The Principal of Holy Family Schools, Rev Sr. Esther Ukpa welcomed the benefactors to the school and appreciated them for their commitment to the school.
