The Catholic Diocese of Sokoto on Thursday, April 29, announced the passing unto glory of Sr. Edith Abebe, EHJ, who died after a brief illness.
The Director of Communications, Sokoto Diocese, Rev. Fr. Chris Omotosho announced the death.
The statement reads: “With a deep sorrowful heart, the Diocese of Sokoto announce the sudden passage of Sr. Edith Abebe, EHJ, after a brief illness. Sr. Edith died at about 6:50 am today – Thursday 29th April, 2021. She was a member of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus (EHJ) congregation, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Illela, Sokoto State”.
Fr Omotosho urged the faithful to pray for the repose of the soul of Sr. Abebe, the entire St Patrick’s Parish community, Illela; the entire EHJ Congregation and the Diocese of Sokoto.
