BAKHITA MEDIA ACADEMY GRADUATE MAIDEN STUDENTS

The Bakhita Media Academy has graduated the first set of students who participated in the courses run at the Academy.

The graduation began with the Mass at the Chapel of the Bakhita Secretariat led

by Rev. Fr. Maj. Jidere, the Chaplain of the Nigerian Army, Sokoto. In his homily, Fr. Jidere called for personal reflection and discipline in the preparation for the birth of Jesus Christ.

He said every major activity requires preparation and dress rehearsal which he said is often not easy and without it, the major event may not be wholly successful.

The Director of the Academy Rev. Fr. Christopher Omotosho thanked everyone who contributed to the success of the Academy which saw the first set of students through to graduation.

He encouraged parents to utilize the opportunity provided by the Academy to enroll and train their children for a better future. Courses offered at the Bakhita Media Academy include:

  • Computer skill Acquisition
  • Introduction to Information Communication Technology
  • Video & Photo Editing
  • Journalism/ News Writing
  • Leadership and Youth Empowerment skills

Certificates were issued to the graduands at a simple ceremony by the representative of the Bishop, the Vicar General Administration, Very Rev. Fr. Nuhu Iliya.

He congratulated them and also wished them a bright future in their endeavour. He also enjoined them to make good use of the knowledge imparted on them in the course of the training.
