THE ORDER OF THE KNIGHTS OF ST. MULUMBA NIGERIA (SOKOTO SUB-COUNCIL)

The order performs various charitable works to members of the public, both Christians and non-Christians alike. On a regular basis, members both individually and collectively visit hospitals, the needy, prisons and render diverse support to religious houses such as building of churches, and religious projects, donations to orphans, disabled, and old people’s homes, training of clergy, donation to convents and monasteries and giving generously towards development of various places, in addition to fraternity within the order. It also contributes to the development of various parishes throughout the country.

The Order counts on its members, men and women who because of their education, social position, and material resources can fight a good cause with success for the greater glory of God, the Church, and the progress of our country.

VISION STATEMENT

  • To bring Catholics together in a fraternal association for the good and progress of the church, for the welfare of her clergy, the well-being of Nigeria generally and of members of the order in particular.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

  1. To guard and protect the interest of the Catholic Church and foster a Catholic Conscience and Outlook in the respective communities of members and to apply Catholic principles to all phases of societal life through examples and enlightenment.
  2. To foster a perfect Christian life among members
  3. To embark upon, foster, and sustain the work of evangelization of the Catholic faith and ideals with a view to gaining more converts to the Church.
