Most Rev Dr. Matthew H Kukah, Bishop Catholic Diocese of Sokoto yesterday laid foundation stone for the construction of an ultra-modern office complex in the Holy Family Cathedral Church.
The foundation laying ceremony began with a Holy Mass presided over by the Bishop.
Bishop Kukah thanked the church council and the faithful for starting the project and requested that the construction work is done daily except on Sundays until the project is completed.
He requested that each society in the church supports the project and see to its completion.
The Ultra-Modern Secretariat complex will serve for the administration of the Holy Family Cathedral Church.
The Cathedral Administrator, Very Rev. Fr. (Capt.) SC Okafor appreciated the Bishop for his support in conceiving and initiating the project. He also thanked Priest present as well as the church council and the faithful that witness the event.
Priests present at the event were: Very Rev Fr. (Capt.) SC Okafor (Cathedral Administrator), Rev Fr. Vitus Borogo (Kaduna Archdiocese), Rev. Fr. Sixtus Onuh, Rev. Fr. Francis Lemark, Rev Fr. Habila Sama'ila.
