It's another great Advent celebration at St. Joseph's Gida Mai Cibi, Katsina State. A memorable day for Diocese of Sokoto and Mai Kanbu community at large. The Bishop of Sokoto Diocese Most Rev. Dr. Matthew Hassan Kukah along side with the Vicar Pastoral Very Rev. Fr. J. C Atodo, The Chancellor Rev. Fr. Cornelius Tagwai, Rev Fr. Basil Okezie Parish Priest of St. Theresa Funtua and Rev Fr. Habila Maiyari parish priest of St. Patrick Gidan Mai Cibi visited Mai Cibi community on Sunday, 2nd of December, 2018. Three important events happened on this day, 11 couples were wedded, 56 candidates were confirmed and finally the commissioning of Fr's House by Most Rev. Dr. Matthew Hassan Kukah.
His Lordship Most Rev. Dr. Matthew Hassan Kukah in his homily encourages the parishioners to hold onto their faith and to be persistent in Devotion to our Lady who is ever ready to intercede for us. To the wedded couples he urge them to be faithful to one another and try to bring up their children in the way of the Lord also to the candidates for confirmation, he clarifies them on the importance of the sacrament they are about to receive, making them know that they will become soldiers of the Lord by proclaiming Christ Jesus where ever they found themselves.
