To commemorate Valentine’s Day 2017, the Family & Human Life Unit (FHL) of St. Kevin Catholic Church, Diocese of Sokoto hosted Catholic, Non-Catholic, and Muslim Families in the State to a dinner party at St. Bakhita Secretariat.
The celebration which was in her second edition was graced by His Lordship Most Rev Dr Matthew Hassan Kukah, Bishop of Catholic Diocese of Sokoto.
The Valentine cake was unveiled and cut by the host Rev. Fr. Sixtus Onuh flanked by the oldest & youngest couples and representative of the religious communities.
Dr. Mathew Cyril gave a brief reflection on Valentine and as it concerns married couple.
The Families were treated to games, dance, meals, suya and drinks.
Bishop Kukah blessed the Families and urged them to keep up the Christian values by living their faith. He took photographs with the families.
