With gratitude to God almighty, Sokoto Diocese laid to rest one of her illustrious Son, Father and Teacher, Mallam Emmanuel Musa Argungu on Saturday 21st April, 2018 at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Cemetery Malunfashi.
The funeral programme commenced with a wake-keep Mass on Friday 20th April, 2018 presided by his son, Rev. Fr. Dr. Gerald Musa in company of priests, religious sisters, parishioners, family members and friends from different parts of the country.
The Chief Shepherd of the Diocese Most Rev. Dr. Matthew Hassan Kukah presided over the funeral mass with Very Rev. Fr. Joseph Atado as the homeliest. During the homily Rev. Fr. Joseph Atado said that "the funeral of Mal. Emmanuel Musa Argungu is a celebration of life and not a period of mourning". Mal. Emmanuel Musa Argungu lived his life as a good defender and teacher of the faith especially in his selfless and dedicated services of 36years to the catechetical centre in Malunfashi. May God grant peaceful and eternal rest to our beloved friend, father, teacher and mentor.
