With total submission to Divine Will, we announce the passage to eternal Glory of Rev. Msgr. Eugene Nwachukwu after a brief illness. This occurred in the evening of Tuesday - 14/02/2023, at the Usman Danfodio University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto. Burial arrangements will be announced soon. May his soul rest in peace. Amen!!!

This declaration was part of a homily by the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Most Reverend Matthew Hassan Kukah during the Chrism Mass at the Holy Family Cathedral, Sokoto.
The Church he said does not go around with magical first aid boxes of emergency divine healing properties.
