With total submission to Divine Will, we announce the passage to eternal Glory of Rev. Msgr. Eugene Nwachukwu after a brief illness. This occurred in the evening of Tuesday - 14/02/2023, at the Usman Danfodio University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto. Burial arrangements will be announced soon. May his soul rest in peace. Amen!!!

Voter education is being intensified among Catholics in Sokoto Diocese to enable them as responsible citizens to carry their civic duty during the 2023 elections.
It is not everybody who says Lord, Lord that will enter the kingdom of God. In the same way it is not everybody who comes to Church that has the Spirit of God in him/her.

Terrorists Honoured Above Loyal Nigerian Citizens By Matthews Otalike in Sokoto It seems that the federal government of Nigeria has shown greater commitment to integrating so called repentant terrorists than getting our children back from kidnappers or keeping our universities open. The Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Most Reverend Matthew Hassan Kukah stated this in his 2022 Easter message to the people in his homily at the Holy Family Cathedral Sokoto during the Easter vigil Mass.
